These fenders are built to accommodate larger wheelbase crawlers or vehicles that don't always fit between the stock fenders and require you to drive over them. They feature an integrated 2x2 boxed inner frame design, which makes them stronger than any other fender on the market, and offer dimple die plates across the top for extra grip during slippery weather. The slotted holes behind the wheels allow air to flow through the fender and help keep your brakes cool. I am extremely happy with my mounts! I made a SERIOUS mistake and bought some cheap ones first and quickly found I had made a bad decision. I corrected that bad decision and purchased the original. Worked with the owner on a couple of questions and I am back in business and they are awesome on my XJ. For anyone who has an XJ with the WJ knuckle swap like I do, these work for that upgrade.
